Geek Bar Shortage in The U.S. Sparks Market Turmoil: Disposable Vape Prices Expected To Surge
Leave a message
In June 2025, the U.S. disposable vape market experienced significant turbulence. As the United States intensifies import regulations on Chinese vape products and raises import tariffs-typically up to 30%, with some models reaching as high as 145%-popular brand Geek Bar has gone out of stock in multiple regions across the country, drawing major industry attention.
According to a joint release by the FDA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), only 71 batches of vape products were approved for import in May 2025, marking a year-over-year decline of over 90% compared to more than 1,200 batches in the same period last year. This dramatic drop signals a severe supply shortage in the disposable vape market, and wholesale prices may see a substantial increase in the coming months.
